New York State law requires real estate licensees to provide the New York State Housing and Anti-Discrimination Disclosure Form and to display the State’s Fair Housing Notice. Federal, State and City law prohibit discrimination in housing on the basis of race, color, religion, creed, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, familial status, marital status, military status, lawful source of income (including vouchers, public assistance and other rental subsidies), citizenship or immigration status, pregnancy, arrest or conviction record (subject to the Fair Chance for Housing Act), and status as a victim of domestic violence, among other protected classes.
